Deputy & Civilian Critically Injured In Awful Crash | Harris County

04.05.2022 | 10:06 PM | HARRIS COUNTY – HCSO units are investigating a crash involved a HCSO deputy. It was reported the HCSO deputy was traveling northbound on Jones Rd. At the same time a silver Nissan Altima was traveling southbound on Jones Rd and attempted to make a left turn onto Millridge. Both vehicle collided head on. The deputy a 31 year old male was conscious and breathing when transported by ambulance. He is considered to be in critical condition. The driver of the Altima, a Hispanic male possibly in his 30s -40s was transported by ambulance in critical condition. When EMS first arrived CPR was performed on that male. EMS units were able to get a pulse on him. At this time there is no obvious signs of intoxication but a toxicology report is pending. The deputy wasn’t responding to a call and was returning back to the station for the end of his shift. No other vehicles or individuals were involved.
