Deputies Car Catches Fire After Crashing During Pursuit | San Bernardino

DETAILS:

1. On Wednesday, March 8th, 2023, sometime before 1:00 PM, San Bernardino County Sheriff’s deputies were in pursuit of a vehicle.
2. The suspect vehicle traveled Northbound on I st from W. Belleview into a dead end.
3. The pursuing deputy crashed the patrol vehicle onto the train tracks and caught fire.
4. It’s unknown what the original reason for the pursuit is or how many suspects, if any, are in custody.
5. AMR transported one deputy for unknown injuries.
