DETAILS:
- A Dennys was heavily damaged by fire early Monday morning, prompting a large response
- Firefighters responded to reports of a commercial building on fire shortly after 2 AM near Gage & Slauson
- Arriving, they found the building with heavy fire from the roof. By the time they began fighting flames, the roof had already collapsed.
- Two workers were able to exit the building before the fire grew. The business was reported to be open at the time when it caught fire.
- A nearby hotel had also evacuated as a precaution
