Decomposed Body Found Near Houston Gun Range

Houston Police are investigating after a bicyclist discovered a decomposed body near a gun range Monday evening.

At approximately 6:10 p.m. on August 10, 2026, a bicyclist called 911 after finding the body in the area of North Eldridge Parkway near the Bayou Rifles – Addicks Range.

According to information provided at the scene, the body was significantly decomposed.

Due to the condition of the remains, investigators were unable to immediately determine the person’s age or gender.

No information was available regarding how long the body may have been there or the circumstances surrounding the person’s death.

The investigation remains ongoing.
