Deceased Body Found Near Off Ramp

The California Highway Patrol is searching for a driver involved in a fatal vehicle-versus-pedestrian crash in Redlands Wednesday morning.

At approximately 11:23 a.m. on September 2, 2026, CHP’s San Bernardino Area was notified of a pedestrian down along the right shoulder and dirt embankment of westbound Interstate 10 at the westbound State Route 210 connector.

CHP officers responded and confirmed the incident was a vehicle-versus-pedestrian crash with fatal injuries.

The pedestrian, identified as 27-year-old Redlands resident Christian Gillespie, was pronounced dead at the scene by emergency personnel.

According to CHP, the vehicle and driver involved remain outstanding.
