Deadly Rialto Crash Leaves One Dead, Two Critical

At approximately 11:36 p.m. on June 8, 2026, Rialto Fire Department crews responded to a major traffic collision with trapped occupants at the intersection of West Renaissance Parkway and North Locust Avenue in Rialto.

Firefighters arrived to find a two-vehicle crash with three people trapped inside one of the vehicles and another person reportedly ejected from the second vehicle.

Rescue crews worked to extricate the trapped occupants while additional personnel treated victims throughout the crash scene.

Authorities said a total of three people were transported to area hospitals, including two patients in critical condition and one with minor injuries.

One person was pronounced deceased at the scene.

Preliminary information from the scene indicated the sedan involved may have been fleeing from law enforcement prior to the collision and struck a Honda pickup truck, resulting in the fatality. However, officials have not yet confirmed those details.

The intersection remained closed for several hours as investigators documented evidence and worked to determine the exact circumstances leading up to the crash.

The investigation remains ongoing.
