Deadly Crash Involving Riverside DOT | Perris

1.22.2021 | 2:59 PM | PERRIS – One person was killed after a crash involving a government vehicle in Perris Friday afternoon.

Shortly before 3 PM, California Highway Patrol along with Riverside and Cal Fire Perris responded to a multiple vehicle traffic collision with one person trapped.

Arriving, they located a four car crash. One of the vehicles was a Riverside County Department of Transportation vehicle.

The Riverside DOT vehicle hit the small car on the driver side door, trapping one of the occupants.

At least one person was transported via AMR, while another person was pronounced deceased on scene by paramedics. It is unknown which vehicle the deceased person was in.
