Deadly Altercation Between Two Women Ends in Gunfire

At approximately 12:45 a.m. on February 8th, 2026, Houston Police responded to a shooting at the Wesley Square Apartments located at 7402 Calhoun.
According to Lt. Khan, two females became involved in an altercation when one produced a firearm and shot the other. The wounded female self-transported to a local hospital, where she was later pronounced deceased.
The suspect fled the scene prior to officers’ arrival.
Homicide detectives remained on scene for several hours and cleared just before 6:00 a.m. A detective at the scene confirmed the details but declined to provide on-camera sound. Investigators stated they may have identified a possible suspect and have a witness they plan to question further.
The investigation remains ongoing.
