Dana Point: Shots Fired After Head-On Crash
10.28.2019 | 8:00 PM | DANA POINT – Shots were fired after a head-on crash involving a newer model Ford Mustang, Monday night.
Authorities responded to reports of a traffic collision and possibly dispute near the intersection of Pacific Coast Highway and Golden Lantern around 8:00 PM.
Units arriving on scene located a traffic collision involving a Ford Mustang that had collided head-on with two other vehicles.
Firefighter paramedics evaluated four victims on scene and transported one to an area hospital.
Initial reports indicate that after the collision occupants of the Ford Mustang attempted to flee as good samaritans intervened. A gunshot was fired during the confrontation and officers later located a handgun.
At least one person was in custody following the incident.
