Costa Mesa: Pedestrian Struck and Killed on 55 Freeway

11.26.2020 | 3:21 AM | COSTA MESA – CHP Santa Ana & CMFD were dispatched to a Auto vs Ped on the 55 NB when they arrived they found one female deceased at the scene.

The driver of the vehicle remained on scene and is cooperating with the investigation.

The female victim did not have a vehicle on the freeway and unknown if the the female was homeless or why she was on the freeway.

The driver of the vehicle was in uniform as a private security guard and stated he did not see the women before the crash.

CHP does not believe Drugs/Speed and or alcohol to be a factor in the collision.
