Corvette Left Hanging Off Anaheim Freeway Overpass

A Corvette was left partially hanging over the 5 Freeway after crashing through a fence on an Anaheim overpass Wednesday night.

The crash occurred at approximately 8:30 p.m. on September 9, 2026, along Lincoln Avenue over the southbound 5 Freeway.

A 2019 Chevrolet Corvette crashed through a fence along the overpass, leaving the front of the vehicle hanging over the edge above the freeway below.

The driver reportedly fled the scene before police and firefighters arrived. No information regarding the driver’s identity or whether they were later located was immediately available.

Footage from the scene shows the Corvette precariously positioned over the edge of the overpass. A heavy-duty tow truck was brought in to lift and safely remove the vehicle.

The scene was cleared by approximately 10:30 p.m. The circumstances leading up to the crash remain under investigation.
