Construction Thief Leads Police on a Pursuit | Houston

01.23.2021 | 5:15 AM | HOUSTON – Houston Police responded to reports of someone possibly stealing equipment from a construction site.

Arriving units located a vehicle that matches the description. An HPD unit attempted to pull the vehicle over but the suspect failed to yield and a pursuit ensued.

The suspect traveled on multiple freeways including the Gulf fwy, 610 Loop, the Beltway and the East Fwy before crashing under the East fwy at McCarty St.

One male was taken into custody. During the pursuit units were able to deploy a spike strip. The rear drivers side tire was damaged but the suspect continued several miles before crashing.
