11.16.2020 | 11:40 PM | HOUSTON – A constable deputy suffered minor injuries after colliding with a civilian vehicle Monday night.

A PCT 8 Constable deputy was in pursuit of a stolen vehicle that refused to stop.

When they came to the intersection of Almeda Genoa Rd and Telephone Rd,
the suspect blew through a red light.

As the deputy continued to give chase, a civilian in a Cadillac crossed the intersection and collided with the PCT 8 Constable deputy.

The impact caused the Constable patrol vehicle to flip over, landing upside down.

The suspect continued his opportunity to get away, however quickly failed when he lost control about a quarter mile down the road, crashed through a fence and flipped over as well.

The suspect was ejected out of the vehicle and pinned by the vehicle.

The suspect was eventually freed and transported by ambulance, miraculously in stable condition with minor cuts.

The civilian driver in the Cadillac was also transported by ambulance with minor injuries, along with the Constable deputy.

The crash remains under investigation.
