Concrete Spill Shuts Down Freeway Transition In DTLA
A dump truck carrying broken concrete overturned Tuesday in downtown Los Angeles, spilling its load across a busy freeway transition and triggering a SigAlert.
The crash occurred on July 22, 2026, on the transition road from Interstate 10 to southbound Interstate 110 near the USC area.
The truck rolled over, scattering broken concrete across the roadway and forcing motorists to carefully navigate through the debris field while emergency crews worked to secure the scene.
Los Angeles Fire Department units responding to the incident became caught in heavy traffic caused by the crash.
No injuries were reported.
A SigAlert was issued as crews began clearing the overturned truck and removing the concrete from the freeway. The duration of the closure was not immediately known.
The California Highway Patrol is investigating the cause of the rollover.
