Compton: Woman Escapes Injury After House Fire

04.02.2019 | 11:48 PM | Compton – A female is safe and without injury after a fire broke out at a residence, late Tuesday night.

Compton firefighters responded to multiple 911 calls of a house on fire along the 700 Block of S Bowen Ave.

Crews arriving located a single story home well involved in flames. Firefighters immediately began putting work into extinguishing the blaze.

A report came in of a female possibly trapped inside the burning home, however she was seen a short time later safely out of the home being treated by paramedics. The victim was determined to be okay and released on scene.

Live power lines in the roadway created a hazard to crews and the public.

The cause of the blaze remains under investigation.
