Compton: Blue Line Train Fatally Strikes Two Pedestrians

06.14.2019 | 9:59 PM | COMPTON – Two pedestrians were dead after being struck by a Metro Blue Line train Friday night.

Authorities responded to reports of a Metro Blue Line train that had struck two pedestrians near the intersection of Willowbrook Avenue and Greenleaf Boulevard around 9:59 PM.

Units arriving on scene found two pedestrians trapped under the Blue Line train and pronounced them deceased on scene.

The victims were described as a male and female in their 30s.

Initial reports indicate the couple were walking near the tracks when they were struck.

The Los Angeles Sheriff’s Department is investigating.
