Compton: Abandoned Building Burns Again

01.22.2019 | 11:51 PM | COMPTON – An abandoned commercial building again caught fire, Tuesday night.

Authorities responded to the reported fire near the intersection of Compton Boulevard and North Spring Avenue around 11:51 PM.

Crews arriving on scene found an abandoned commercial building with heavy fire showing and began efforts to attack the blaze.

Firefighters quickly extinguished the fire within 30 minutes.

Several homeless individuals were living inside the building at the time of the fire but made it out without injury.

The building has reportedly burned several times in the past.
