PHOENIX FIRE PRESS RELEASE:
Crews have extinguished a large contents fire in a commercial structure located near 19th Avenue and Pima St. Firefighters arrived on scene just after 1:00AM Wednesday morning and found a large volume of fire inside a freestanding structure. Command balanced the fire to a first alarm due to the size of the structure. However, firefighters were able to quickly gain fire control with hose lines inside the structure. The initial arriving crews, were able to extinguish the fire and the balance of the first alarm was put back into service. This appears to be a non-functioning business at this time. There were large stacks of wood pellets burning inside the structure.
There were no injuries reported on the fire ground. Fire investigators are on scene and the cause has not yet been determined.
