Fatal Traffic Collision

RIVERSIDE, CA – RIVERSIDE, CA – On Friday December 12, 2025, at approximately 11:38 p.m., the City of Riverside’s Emergency Dispatch Center received several calls for service reference a traffic collision between a green sedan and a utility pole at Central Ave. and Fairview Ave. Riverside Police and Fire personnel responded to the scene and discovered the driver sustained major injuries. The driver was pronounced deceased at the scene, and three other passengers were transported to an area hospital.

The Riverside Police Department’s Major Accident Investigation Team (M.A.I.T.), along with the Riverside County Sheriff-Coroner, responded to the scene and assumed the investigation.

The preliminary investigation revealed the vehicle was traveling eastbound on Central Ave. when it left the roadway and struck a utility pole. The identity of the deceased is pending the coroner’s investigation.
