Claremont: Firefighters Discover Fatal Hit & Run Crash While Returning To Station

01.08.2020 | 2:30 AM | CLAREMONT – Firefighters returning to their station discovered a fatal hit and run crash involving a pedestrian, early Wednesday morning.

Firefighters were responding back to their station after a call when they discovered a body in lanes near the 1600 block of North Towne Avenue around 2:30 AM.

The crew attempted life-saving measures on the downed victim who but ultimately pronounced them deceased on scene.

Authorities believe the victim was struck by a vehicle that fled the scene without stopping to render aid.

All lanes of Towne Avenue are closed while officers investigate.
