- A plane that had recently left Crest airfield with mud on the floats then rolled possibly due to additional drag on the floats
- Witnesses called 911 while more grabbed boats and began tot drag the plane in before PSF boats were even in the water
- Long term CPR eventually proved successful and the pilot was transported to HMC
