Chula Vista: Woman Extricated After Serious Crash

12.01.2018 | 3:34 PM | CHULA VISTA – A woman had to be cut free from her vehicle after being trapped by the impact of a serious crash, Saturday afternoon.

Police and fire officials responded to the reported crash near the intersection of Oleander Avenue and East Palomar Street shortly after 3:30 PM.

Authorities arrived on scene and found a t-bone style crash with a woman trapped inside her car.

Using the jaws of life and other power tools firefighters worked to extricate the trapped woman who was badly injured.

Firefighters treated the woman, along with the driver of the other vehicle, on scene before transporting them to area hospitals.

Witnesses reported that the male driver ran a red light and struck the female victims vehicle.

Police are on scene investigating the crash.
