Chula Vista: Man Injured After Park Shooting

11.26.2018 | 4:15 PM | CHULA VISTA – A man was hospitalized after being shot at Memorial Park, Monday evening.

Officers responded to reports of gunfire near a public restroom at the Memorial Park near the intersection of 3rd Avenue and Park Way around 4:15 PM.

Units arriving on scene found a 21-year-old male victim on the ground with an apparent gunshot wound to his abdomen.

Firefighter paramedics treated the man on scene before transporting him to UCSD hospital.

Police were searching for the the suspected shooter who was described only as a black male.

The circumstances surrounding the shooting were not immediately available.
