Chula Vista: Firefighters Rescue Couple And Their Dogs From Flooding Riverbed

12.06.2018 | 6:53 PM | CHULA VISTA – Firefighters rescued a male and female along with their three dogs from a riverbed that was quickly rising amid torrential rains, Thursday evening.

Fire, police, and lifeguards responded to reports of men trapped in the 3000 block of Plaza Bonita Road around 7:00 PM.

Units arriving on scene located a riverbed that was quickly rising with two individuals and their dogs trapped by the strong water flow.

Crews initiated a rescue and reached the individuals in an inflatable boat, bringing them and their dogs to safety.

No serious injuries were reported however paramedics were on scene evaluating the couple as a precaution.
