Chula Visa: Fire Engine Crashes While Responding To Freeway Accidents

01.12.2019 | 5:00 AM | CHULA VISTA – A fire engine spun-out while responding to freeway accidents, Saturday morning.

Fire crews were responding to reports of several accidents on the southbound I-805 just north of E Street around 5:00 AM.

While responding Chula Vista Fire Department Engine 52 spun-out after striking a large pool of water.

The driver of the engine was able to recover and stop at a safe location after the crash.

Reports indicate that the captain aboard the engine suffered injuries as a result of the incident.

Other members of the crew were uninjured.
