CHP Vehicle Struck During High-Speed Chase

INCIDENT DATE/TIME: 2-14-26 8:40pm
LOCATION: 250 block of Robelini Dr
AREA/CITY: Vista
DETAILS:

  1. At around 8:40 PM A CHP Officer attempted to stop a vehicle for speed. On the westbound 78
  2. The driver took off and exited on Sycamore.
  3. shortly after the officers lost the vehicle and were able to relocate it near Mar Vista.
  4. While reinitiating the pursuit, the suspect struck one of the CHP vehicles and took off.
  5. CHP, lost the vehicle for a second time and searched the area.
  6. The vehicle was located again on Roni and ended up crashing into a park vehicle and thru a fence.
  7. The driver was arrested after being evaluated by VISTA firefighters.
  8. There is no additional information at this time.
