CHP Rescues 2 Dogs ABANDONED on 110 Freeway

DETAILS:
- Two dogs were saved after an owner left them for dead on the side of a freeway off ramp Monday night
- CHP officers were driving north on the 110 freeway when they came up upon multiple vehicles stopped on the Rosecrans Avenue off ramp
- Officers learned that someone abandoned two dogs on the off ramp and drove off. One was a Pitt Bull and the other was a small pug
- Officers were able to get the pit bull into a patrol car, however the pug was somewhat aggressive and eventually tried to hide under a CHP patrol cruiser
- A second unit responded and officers corralled the dog against the freeway side wall. Officers were able to lasso the pug to a dog pole
- Officers could be seen petting the dog and attempting to calm it down before picking it up with a blanket and placing it into the other patrol cruiser
- The off ramp was temporarily blocked for 15 minutes as officers saved the dogs from further harm
- There is no description on whoever abandoned the two dogs. CHP is investigating
