CHP Pursuit Ends With Suspect Arrested In LA Apartment
A high-speed motorcycle pursuit through Los Angeles ended with the rider being taken into custody early on July 8, 2026.
At approximately 5:00 a.m., California Highway Patrol officers pursued a man riding a green motorcycle, believed to be a Honda, after he fled at speeds exceeding 100 mph on both freeways and city streets.
The pursuit came to an end on Pico Boulevard between 4th Avenue and 5th Avenue in the Harvard Heights neighborhood.
After stopping, the rider abandoned the motorcycle and ran through an alley before entering a nearby apartment building in an attempt to evade officers.
CHP established a perimeter around the area and eventually located and arrested the suspect without further incident.
No injuries were reported during the pursuit or arrest.
The California Highway Patrol is continuing to investigate the incident and has not released the suspect’s identity or the reason for the initial pursuit.
