CHP Pursuit Ends in Glendale

12.05.2020 | 10:40 PM | GLENDALE – A man is in custody after leading Highway Patrol on a 30 minute chase around the San Fernando Valley Saturday night.

The pursuit began with CHP West LA for a reckless driver who failed to yield.

The suspect continued to the 101 and ended up in Glendale, where the driver eventually gave up and yielded.

While yielding, the suspect threw a gun out the passenger side window. The gun was recovered by CHP officers at the scene.

While clearing the vehicle, there was also a large amount of merchandise found, including multiple pairs of shoes.

It is unclear if the items were stolen or if they belonged to the driver.

The freeway was cleared shortly after the suspect was taken into custody.
