CHP Pursuit Ends in Crash & Arrest | Spring Valley

01.01.21 | 1:50 AM | SPRING VALLEY – A CHP officer attempted to pull over the male driver of an SUV for suspected DUI. The driver fled south on the SR-125 in Spring Valley. The driver led officers south through Chula Vista, down to the I-905 in Otay Mesa, and then went back northbound back through Chula Vista.

He then went westbound on Hwy 54 through National City to the northbound I-5. He went as far north to Hawthorne St and then went south on the I-5 to eastbound Hwy 94 and into the Oak Park and Ridgeview/Webster neighborhoods.

Speeds reach over 90 mph on the freeways. He eventually hit a guardrail entering westbound Hwy 94 from Euclid Ave and stopped at the A St onramp. The suspect then fled on foot but was quickly captured.
