CHP Officers Rescue Loose Dog On Southern California Freeway

DETAILS:
- CHP received a call from a vehicle that was stopped on the overpass onto the 10 Eastbound due to a dog that was stuck under it.
- When units arrived, they tried calling the dog out from the vehicle, but that didn’t work. CHP asked the driver to move his truck slowly, and then the dog ran out of the truck and started running on the freeway.
- The dog then ran from officers and got stuck under the CHP unit.
- The dog then ran off the freeway, and CHP provided a traffic break so it wouldn’t be run over.
- Baldwin Park appended the dog and placed it in the rear of the patrol vehicle. One officer got bit while rescuing the dog.
