CHP Officers Escort & Wrangle Potbellied Pig | Casitas Springs

11.29.2021 | 12:23 AM | CASITAS SPRINGS – CHP Ventura officers responded to reports of a pig walking in and out of traffic on SR-33 near Ranch Rd.

Officers located the pig walking down Ranch Rd and escorted it to a dead end where it then wandered onto private property.

Officers stood by until Ventura County Animal Services arrived and the wrangling of the now stubborn pig began.

The pig refused to budge and moved at its own leisure while being guided towards the VCAS truck by officers.

After some struggling, problem solving, and teamwork, CHP and VCAS were able to get the pig loaded onto the truck… with the help of a liftgate.

The pig will remain in VCAS custody until its owner can be located.
