Chino Hills: SWAT Team Arrests Shooting Suspect Barricaded Inside Home
09.16.2019 | 9:45 PM | CHINO HILLS – A shooting suspect who barricaded himself inside a home was taken into custody by a SWAT team after an hours-long standoff, Monday night.
Police officers from various agencies were searching for a white GMC Yukon wanted in connection with a shooting Monday afternoon.
Units eventually located the vehicle empty parked in front of a home in the 2600 block of Stagecoach Trail around 9:45 PM.
Believing that suspects related to the shooting were inside a nearby home, officers made announcements for the occupants to exit.
Two men and a child exited the home informed police officers that a third suspect was inside refusing to surrender.
An hours-long standoff ensued with a San Bernardino County SWAT team arriving on scene to end the standoff.
At around 2:40 AM, the SWAT team made entry to the home and took the remaining suspect into custody without further incident.
The circumstances surrounding the earlier shooting remain under investigation.
