1. From DPS:
   DPS investigating auto pedestrian accident involving a child in west Houston.
   This happened around 830pm on Hwy 6 near Branch Forest Dr.
   According to DPS, DPS initiated a traffic stop at that location.
   The vehicles pulled into a parking lot on Hwy 6 and Branch forest dr
   while conducting the traffic stop there was a mother and 11yo son crossing the intersection at Branch Forest.
   While crossing, DPS officials say the child ran out on Hwy 6 and was struck by a vehicle.
   DPS was still in parking lot conducting the traffic stop when this happened.
