Chesterfield Square: Man Crashes After Being Shot While Driving

08.05.2019 | 10:50 PM | LOS ANGELES – A man was hospitalized after he was shot while driving causing him to crash, Monday night.

Authorities responded to reports of a shooting in the area of West Florence and Budlong avenues in the Chesterfield Square area of Los Angeles around 10:50 PM.

Units responding to the scene located a solo crash near the intersection of West Florence and South Western avenue with an adult male driver suffering from a gunshot wound.

Firefighter paramedics treated the man on scene before transporting him to an area hospital in unknown condition.

Shell casings were later located near a smoke shop where the shooting was initial reported.

It is believed the man was shot while in driving near the smoke shop and then proceeded to drive for a half-mile before crashing.

A passenger inside the vehicle at the time of the shooting was uninjured.
