Chemical Spill Creates Vapor Cloud At Garden Grove Facility
A reported chemical spill that created a vapor cloud prompted a large HazMat response Wednesday morning at a manufacturing facility in Garden Grove.
Orange County Fire Authority crews and Garden Grove police responded at approximately 11:26 a.m. on September 9, 2026, to CD Video Manufacturing at 12650 Westminster Avenue.
According to preliminary information, two chemicals spilled near the rear of the facility and mixed, causing a reaction that produced a vapor cloud. An OCFA HazMat team made entry into the facility to assess the scope of the incident and determine what materials were involved.
CD Video Manufacturing performs in-house disc mastering, replication and manufacturing. The specific substances involved in Wednesday’s incident were not immediately identified.
The large emergency response affected traffic in the surrounding area while crews worked at the scene.
