Chatsworth: Suspected DUI Driver Leads Officer On Pursuit

09.23.2019 | 1:30 AM | LOS ANGELES – A suspected DUI driver was taken into custody with the assistance of a police K-9 after fleeing officers, early Monday morning.

Officers attempted to stop a suspected DUI driver early Monday morning.

The suspect failed to yield to officers, leading them on car chase that ended when the man ditched his vehicle in the Chatsworth area near Canoga Avenue and Rinaldi.

Multiple officers set up a perimeter and a police K-9 was summoned to the scene to search for the suspect.

After a short search the suspect was located and taken into custody.

Firefighter paramedics responded to the scene to transport the suspect to an area hospital for medical clearance.
