*Caught on Camera* Pursuit Suspect Pepper Balled & Tasered

DETAILS:

 

1. 911 Dispatchers received a call from employees at the ARCO Gas Station at the 2300 blk of El Cajon Blvd of a male threatening them with a knife.
2. As officers arrived, the male returned to his car and fled westbound onto El Cajon Blvd.
3.  The male pulled into a Chevron Gas Station lot at the 2600 Blk of El Cajon Blvd., and the officers were able to trap him.
4. He refused to surrender for approx 30 minutes.
5. Officers shot the car windows with pepper balls.
6. Officers kept giving him demands to surrender.
7. The suspect kept reaching under the seat of his vehicle and looking around.
8. The Chevron employees were evacuated from the store.
9. He finally opened the door but did not obey the officers’ commands, and he was tasered.
10. Officers moved in on the suspect and took him into custody.
11. The suspect was transported to a local hospital for the pepper ball and the tasering.
12. No officers were injured.
