CAUGHT ON CAMERA: Pursuit Ends In Fatal Shooting

10.04.2020 | 12:00 AM | CHULA VISTA – CHP officers in Orange County attempted to stop a vehicle for a traffic violation.

The driver stopped on SB 5 at Carmel Valley for about 5 minutes before continuing to drive south (as seen in second video).

The driver then stopped again SB 805 at Orange Ave and after a short standoff, tried to leave again.

A CHP officer conducted a pit maneuver and spun the suspects’ car around.

The driver got out of the vehicle and tried to flee on foot. Officers opened fire and struck the suspect.

Officers attempted CPR at the scene before being transported by ambulance to UCSD.

The driver was pronounced deceased at UCSD Hillcrest.
