*Caught on Camera* Driver Runs Down Man During Road Rage Incident
At approximately 1:30 p.m. on June 3, 2026, a violent confrontation between two vehicles ended with a man being struck by a car at West Airport Boulevard and Gillingham Lane in Sugar Land.
According to a witness who recorded the incident and called 911, a gray Toyota Camry and a gray SUV appeared to be involved in an ongoing altercation while traveling westbound on West Airport Boulevard.
The witness said a man and woman had exited the SUV and were arguing with the Camry’s driver when the Camry attempted to leave the area. As the vehicle maneuvered around the SUV, it allegedly struck the male driver before fleeing southbound on Gillingham Lane.
Sugar Land Police, Sugar Land Fire Department, EMS personnel, and a Fort Bend County Precinct 1 deputy responded to the scene. An off-duty firefighter also stopped to assist.
The victim remained on the ground in significant pain and reportedly told first responders he could not move his legs, raising concerns about serious injuries.
The man was transported to a local hospital in stable condition.
According to the witness, the female passenger of the SUV told authorities the Camry had been following them after leaving an eye doctor’s appointment. The witness provided video footage of the incident to investigators.
Police continue to investigate and have not released information regarding the identity of the driver or any potential charges.
