Castaic: Suspected DUI Driver Flees Police

07.07.2019 | 4:30 AM | CASTAIC – A suspected DUI driver fled from police prompting an early morning pursuit, Sunday.

Deputies attempted to stop a driver who they believed might be under the influence and was driving recklessly around 4:00 AM.

The driver of the vehicle failed to yielded and led officers on a pursuit that entered several local freeways.

California Highway Patrol officers eventually took over the pursuit and chased the suspect before a successful spike strip deployment slowed the vehicle.

The suspect eventually yielded on the northbound I-5 Freeway just north of Templin Highway around 4:30 AM. He was taken into custody without further incident.
