Castaic: High-Speed Pursuit Ends With Three Arrests

08.20.2019 | 8:00 PM | CASTAIC – Three burglary suspects were in custody after leading police on a high-speed pursuit that reached speeds of 140+ MPH, Tuesday night.

Authorities attempted to stop a white Dodge Challenger occupied by three individuals wanted in connection with a burglary in the West Hollywood area around 8:00 PM.

The suspects failed to yield to officers, prompting a high-speed pursuit along the I-5 Freeway in Los Angeles that reached speeds in excess of 140 MPH.

Officers used a spike strip to slow the suspects, prompting them to surrender on the northbound I-5 north of Lake Hughes Road in Castaic.

All three suspects, including one with at least five warrants for his arrest, were taken into custody without incident.

The circumstances surrounding the original burglary remains under investigation.
