Carson: One Dead After Freeway Crash

03.22.2020 | 8:55 PM | CARSON – At least one person was dead after a pickup truck smashed into the back of a BMW as rain poured down, Sunday night.

Authorities responded to reports of a traffic collision on the westbound SR-91 Freeway near Wilmington Avenue around 8:55 PM.

Units arriving on scene located a silver Ford F-350 pickup truck that had collided with the rear of a grey BMW causing it to become wedged underneath the truck.

At least one occupant from the BMW was pronounced deceased on scene.

There was no word on if any other injuries were reported but all westbound lanes were closed until further notice while authorities investigated.

It was raining at the time of the collision but it was unclear if that played a role in the collision.
