Carlsbad: Motorcyclist Airlifted After Serious Crash

11.13.2018 | 6:49 AM | CARLSBAD – A motorcyclist was airlifted with serious injuries after colliding with a vehicle, Tuesday morning.

Police and fire officials responded around 6:49 AM to reports of a crash involving a motorcycle on Carlsbad Boulevard near Island Way.

Units arriving on scene located an approximately 40-year-old motorcyclist who was involved in a crash with an unknown type vehicle.

Due to the extent of the motorcyclist’s injuries an air ambulance  responded to transport the man to an area hospital.

The circumstances surrounding the crash were not immediately clear and it was unknown if the other involved driver remained on scene.

The Carlsbad Police Department is investigating.
