Carlsbad: Man Injured After Fall From Cliff

07.29.2019 | 2:47 AM | CARLSBAD – A man was injured after falling approximately 30 feet down an oceanside cliff, early Monday morning.

Authorities responded to reports from a bystander who heard calls for help coming from the bottom of a beachside cliff near the intersection of Cerezo Drive and Carlsbad Boulevard around 2:47 AM.

Units arriving on scene found an adult male who had fallen approximately 30-feet from a cliff.

Firefighter paramedics retrieved the man and took him to an area hospital with unknown injuries.

Officers on scene indicted the fall appears to be accidental in nature.

There is a fence and numerous warning signs in place between the cliff and adjacent sidewalk.
