Carlsbad: Firefighters Rescue Trapped Seagull From Rooftop

11.14.2018 | 8:00 AM | CARLSBAD – Firefighters freed a seagull who’s foot became stuck on the rooftop of a business, Wednesday morning.

Firefighters responded to reports of a seagull who was apparently trapped and dangling in distress from a rooftop near the intersection of Carlsbad Village Drive and Harding Street around 8:00 AM.

Crews responded and located the bird who passing motorists had spotted and prepared for a rescue.

Using an aerial ladder from their truck, firefighters walked up to the bird who was more than two-stories high and freed its leg.

The bird subsequently took flight and left the area.
