Carlsbad: DUI Driver Crashes Into Police Car

02.22.2019 | 12:30 AM | CARLSBAD – A woman was under arrested after she crashed into a police car while driving under the influence, early Friday morning.

A fully marked Carlsbad Police Department vehicle was on routine patrol when woman lost control of her vehicle and crashed.

The crash damaged both the police vehicle and another car but luckily nobody was injured.

Additional officers responded to the scene to investigate and determined the female driver who lost control of her vehicle was under the influence of drugs or alcohol.

She was arrested and placed into custody on suspicion of DUI.
