Carjacking Pursuit Ends in Crash

INCIDENT DATE/TIME: 5-26-24 | started at 3:30a ended around 4:30a
LOCATION: Ended under 60 freeway on Sundol Dr
AREA/CITY: East LA
DETAILS:

1. A male suspect carjacked a truck
2. ELA LASD found the truck and gave chase
3. The pursuit went into DTLA & Westlake from East LA
4. The Suspect took East 60 – North 605 – East 10 and turned around and took west 10 back into ELA
5. The suspect stopped at 4th under the 5 but took off
6. The chase lasted about an hour before he crashed on Sundol Dr under the 60 freeway.
7. Suspect taken into custody
