Car Wraps Around Tree, Driver Killed | El Cerrito

08.28.2022 | 11:16 PM | EL CERRITO – Riverside County Sheriff Deputies (RSO), Cal Fire Riverside County, El Cerrito and California Highway Patrol, Riverside responded to reports of a car vs a tree and the car starting to catch fire.

Before police and paramedics arrived, Good Samaritans used a garden hose to start spraying down the vehicle to extinguish the fire.

When RSO Deputies arrived on scene they found the driver, a male in the car, wrapped around a tree on the property of an apartment complex still inside the vehicle, not breathing.

Paramedics arrived and pronounced the lone occupant deceased.

At this time the cause of the accident is not clear, but speed appears to be a factor.
