Car With Fake Paper Plate Crashes Into AZ DPS Trooper

DETAILS:
- Shortly after 10 PM Thursday, a DPS Trooper was involved with a collision on Mesquite Circle near College Ave.
- According to DPS radio traffic:
- Two people were taken into custody following the collision.
- The DPS Tahoe made contact with the front end of a newer model Dodge Charger.
- The Dodge Charger had a fictitious license plate reading “Diller” rather than “Dealer”.
- Two teenagers were seen in handcuffs with minor injuries being evaluated by Tempe Fire.
- At least one of them was transported to a local area hospital.
- According to a DPS Sergeant on scene Tempe Police are handling the investigation into the charges against the suspects.
